The 2014 Jeep Patriot Sport SUV 4D represents the budget-friendly, entry-level trim of Jeep's compact crossover lineup built on the MK platform. Under the hood, the 2014 Patriot Sport offered two distinct engine configurations:
Standard 2.0-liter World Engine DOHC 16-valve Inline 4-cylinder (FWD models): Produces 158 horsepower at 6,400 RPM and 141 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 RPM.
Available 2.4-liter World Engine DOHC 16-valve Inline 4-cylinder (Standard on 4WD models, optional on FWD): Produces 172 horsepower at 6,000 RPM and 165 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 RPM.
Transmission options for 2014 were significantly upgraded: a standard 5-speed manual transmission, an optional 6-speed Hyundai Powertech automatic transmission (replacing the previous CVT on standard models), or the CVT2L continuously variable transmission paired strictly with the Freedom Drive II® Off-Road package.
