While it shares an underlying chassis architecture and mechanical roots with the contemporary Ford Fusion, the MKZ features entirely unique body panels, a longer overall length, and distinct styling—including a prominent split-wing front grille. The MKZ features Lincoln Drive Control, an adaptive suspension system featuring continuously controlled damping (CCD) that instantly adjusts to road conditions, a unique dashboard interface utilizing individual vertical buttons for Park, Reverse, Neutral, and Drive instead of a physical center console gear lever, and Active Noise Control (ANC), an electronic noise-cancellation system that targets and counters harsh frequencies to ensure a whisper-quiet cabin. Standard cabin features include an 8-inch MyLincoln Touch central touchscreen, SYNC bluetooth handsfree system, an 11-speaker, 360-watt Audiophile sound system, genuine Brown Swirl Walnut wood accents, push-button ignition, remote start, and dual heated, power adjustable front seats.
