2013 INFINITI JX35 Base

The 2013 INFINITI JX35 Sport Utility 4D represents the debut year of INFINITI’s three-row luxury crossover platform (later renamed the QX60 in 2014). Built on a front-wheel-drive-based unibody structure shared with the Nissan Pathfinder, the JX35 prioritizes smooth ride comfort, family versatility, luxury interior appointments, and easy access to all three seating rows.
Under the sculpted hood lies Nissan’s reliable 3.5-liter VQ35DE DOHC 24-valve V6 engine. This mechanical core produces 265 horsepower at 6,400 RPM and 248 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 RPM. Power is routed through an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) featuring an INFINITI Drive Mode Selector with Standard, Sport, Eco, and Snow modes. Drive torque is delivered to the front wheels via standard Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or through an optional Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system that can split torque 50:50 front-to-rear when loss of traction is detected. Supported by a 4-wheel independent suspension (MacPherson struts front / multi-link rear) and 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes with ABS, the 4,280-lb JX35 FWD accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in approximately 7.8 seconds.
On the exterior, the 2013 JX35 displays INFINITI’s signature double-arch front grille, bi-xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights, integrated front fog lights, crescent-cut D-pillars, power glass moonroof, power liftgate, power-folding heated side mirrors with reverse tilt-down, and rear privacy glass. The JX35 maintains an executive stance rolling on 18-inch 5-spoke aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in all-season touring tires (with 20-inch split 5-spoke alloy wheels optioned on higher equipment packages).
Inside, the driver-centric cabin accommodates up to seven occupants across three rows, featuring leather-appointed seating surfaces paired with Kasane pattern aluminum or optional Maple wood interior accents. Interior highlights include an 8-way power driver seat, 6-way power passenger seat, heated front bucket seats, Tri-Zone Automatic Climate Control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, Intelligent Key with push-button start, and a 60/40 split 2nd-row seat with a multi-mode sliding mechanism that allows access to the 3rd row even with a child safety seat installed. Digital connectivity centers around an 7.0-inch color vehicle information display (or optional 8.0-inch VGA touchscreen with Navigation), featuring Bluetooth® hands-free phone integration, Rearview Monitor, USB/iPod port, SiriusXM®, and a standard 6-speaker audio system (or available 13-speaker / 15-speaker Bose® AccuVoice / Waveguide Premium Audio systems).
Practicality and family spatial allocation serve as core strengths of its 114.2-inch wheelbase chassis. Behind the third-row seats, the rear cargo compartment offers 15.8 cubic feet of storage space. Folding the 50/50 split 3rd-row seats flat expands cargo volume to 40.8 cubic feet, and folding both the 2nd and 3rd rows completely flat unlocks 76.5 cubic feet of maximum cargo capacity.
Backed by a 19.5-gallon fuel tank, the 3.5L V6 model achieves an EPA-estimated 18 MPG city and 24 MPG highway(21 MPG combined) in FWD configuration (18/23 MPG for AWD models). When properly equipped with factory towing packages, the JX35 supports a maximum conventional towing capacity of up to 3,500 lbs.
