The 2007 Kia Rondo is a compact family wagon and crossover that was introduced as an all-new model to the U.S. market for the 2007 model year. Built on the unibody platform of the Kia Optima sedan, it was uniquely designed to bridge the gap between a hatchback, a station wagon, and a minivan. Automotive reviewers often described it as an incredibly practical, budget-friendly alternative to bulky SUVs. The Rondo featured a tight, easy-to-park 179-inch overall length—making it slightly shorter than a Mazda 5—yet boasted high headroom and a massive 74.4 cubic feet of maximum cargo space with all rear seats folded flat.
