Cadillac built 4,387 XLRs for 2004 and only 816 of them in Light Platinum. It rides on the Corvette's chassis, carries a 320-horsepower Northstar V8 up front, and folds its own metal roof into the trunk at the touch of a button — and then wraps all of it in a cabin with Bulgari-designed instruments. Lower-mileage cars have gone both higher and lower — $20,600 for a 25,000-mile example and $12,500 for a 36,000-mile one — which tells you the market on these is driven by condition and records more than by the odometer.
