Every once in a while, we come across a 4Runner that is just a little different from everything else we normally buy — and this one definitely qualifies!

This absolutely exceptional 2000 Toyota 4Runner is finished in classic Super White over Oak interior and comes to us as a ONE-OWNER Southern California SUV. What makes this 4Runner especially unique is its configuration: the legendary 2.7L 3RZ-FE four-cylinder engine, five-speed manual transmission, and 2WD.

This is the commuter 4Runner! LOL.

No V6, no automatic transmission, and no four-wheel-drive system to haul around. Just a simple, incredibly durable four-cylinder engine, three pedals, rear-wheel drive, and everything you need in a third-generation 4Runner. You simply do not see many of these anymore, especially in this kind of condition.

But I have always said that mileage is only one piece of the puzzle when buying an older Toyota. The exterior is exceptional. The Super White paint is beautiful, the body is straight, and the overall presentation is remarkable for a 26-year-old 4Runner with this mileage. The 2.7L four-cylinder runs smooth and strong, the five-speed manual transmission shifts exactly as it should, and the clutch is strong, tight, and feels excellent. These 3RZ-FE four-cylinder engines have earned a tremendous reputation for simplicity and durability, and paired with a manual transmission, this is about as straightforward of a drivetrain as Toyota offered.

Before offering it for sale, we thoroughly inspected and serviced the vehicle. It has received new shocks, new struts, new oxygen sensors, and fresh fluids throughout. The tires are in excellent condition, and everything has been gone through in preparation for its next owner.
