1997 Lexus LX450 — Triple Locked, ARB Built,

My Personal Truck which i have owned for the past 5 years.

This one is hard to write. She’s been my personal LX450 for the last 5 years and honestly the nicest 80 Series I’ve owned — out of every truck that’s come through 4x4 Rides, this is the one I kept for myself. She drives better than every other 80 I’ve had my hands on, and that’s saying something.
I’m only putting her up because the right buyer might come along. If they don’t, she stays in my driveway.
What She Is
• 1997 Lexus LX450 (final year of the J80 platform)
• 200,500 miles — and she runs like she’s got another 200k in her
• Super White over brown leather — the best color combo Lexus offered, and the leather is in gorgeous shape (see pics)
• Factory triple locked — front, center, and rear OEM lockers. This is the unicorn spec. Only a small number of LX450s ever left the factory triple locked, and they don’t come up for sale often
• No warning lights on the dash. Zero.
• Frame is solid — no rust issues, body is straight and clean
The Build
This isn’t a parts-bin build. Everything on her was picked because it works:
• ARB matching front bumper (color-matched, professionally installed)
• ARB high-intensity spot lights on the bull bar
• Warn 12,000 lb winch with synthetic line
• Dobinson 2” lift kit — rides perfectly, no harshness, no death wobble
• BFG KO3 tires with matching full-size spare
• Factory roof rack
• OEM Lexus keyless entry remote — original, still works (try finding one of those)
Creature Comforts Added
• Aftermarket heated seats (driver + passenger)
• Apple CarPlay Sony head unit with fairly new dual speakers in every door
• Full rear sound — she’s nice to road trip in
What’s Been Done
• Knuckles redone Kossa 4x4 kit in preparation for the sale (pending). Also had them done when I first purchased the truck back in 2020. (anyone who knows 80s knows what that costs and what a relief it is)
• All scheduled service done and current
• Recent fluids, filters, the usual baselining items
The Honest Part
She’s 28 years old with 200k miles. She’s not a museum piece — she’s a driver. There’s normal wear consistent with age and mileage, and I’d rather you come look at her in person than oversell anything over the phone. What I can tell you is she’s mechanically sound, drives tight, and I daily-drove her with full confidence.
Why I’m Selling (Maybe)
Honestly? I don’t really want to. But if someone serious comes along who’s going to appreciate what she is — a triple-locked, ARB-built, baselined LX450 that’s been loved — I’ll let her go for the right number.

The mod list alone is north of $7,000 in parts (ARB bumper ~$1,800, Warn 12k winch ~$1,400, Dobinson lift ~$1,500, ARB spots ~$500, heated seats + audio ~$1,200, plus knuckle rebuild labor). Comparable triple-locked builds on IH8MUD and BaT are running $27k–$50k right now, and most don’t have her color combo or interior condition.
