According to the previous owners, they acquired this 1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata C Package in 2003 from her employer, who decided to sell the Miata after purchasing a Honda S2000. They went on to keep the car for more than two decades, preserving it as a largely original, lightly used example and accumulating service records along the way.

That kind of ownership history is becoming increasingly difficult to find with first-generation Miatas, many of which have passed through numerous owners, been heavily modified, or repurposed as track cars.

In 2013, it received an original-style replacement tan convertible top with a zippered plastic rear window and pre-attached rain rail.
A Pioneer receiver and upgraded audio components were also professionally installed in 2013.
More recently, at 64,188 miles in November 2025, the car received documented cooling-system service including a radiator, thermostat, coolant, and radiator cap.
Since acquiring the car, we also addressed a minor oil seep by installing a new valve cover gasket.
