1991 Ford Mustang

The 1987 to 1993 Saleen Mustang was converted by Saleen from the newly redesigned Ford Mustang LXcoupes, liftbacks, and convertibles. The new Saleen exterior featured a front valance, rear rocker panels, decklid spoiler, and decals. Interior amenities included Pioneer stereo systems, higher-rated MPH speedometers, an optional sunroof, and a radar detector. Performance changes included five lug SVO rotors, heavy-duty brake systems, 8-inch wide rear tires, Hurst shifter, and the suspension was modified with Racecraft components. The factory 5.0L V8 was modified on the SSC edition producing 292hp. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. This Saleen still retains almost all of the original equipment with the exception of the wheels and floor mats.
