1975 PORSCHE 911S RS TRIBUTE BACKDATE PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO HERE For sale is a 1975 Porsche 911S that was backdated into a Carrera RS long-hood-style tribute. We purchased this vehicle from its longtime owner in San Francisco, CA. He owned the car for over 10 years and purchased it restored by the previous owner. The exterior is finished in its original Aubergine with a long-hood-style front end, RS-style front and rear bumpers, ducktail, Porsche side graphics, chrome trim, and 16-inch Fuchs wheels with like-new Michelin tires. The paint is in excellent condition and is deep and glossy. Likewise, the interior looks virtually flawless. It offers early-style sport seats finished with houndstooth inserts, MOMO steering wheel, WEVO shifter, Rennline pedals and aluminum footrest, RS-style door panels, and RS-style carpets. Mechanically, it is powered by its original 2.7L flat-six mated to its 915 transmission. The engine and transmission were rebuilt in 1999 by Motor Meister. A new clutch, flywheel, and related components were also installed at that time. The engine rebuild included: * Timing chains and upgraded chain rails * Bronze valve guides * Upgraded valve stem seals * Porsche pistons and cylinders * New piston rings * New rod bolts and nuts * Valve and cylinder head work The engine rebuild is accompanied by period photographs showing the engine removed and apart during the work, along with extensive records and parts invoices documenting the work performed. More recently, a compression test was performed less than 3,000 miles ago, with the following results: Cylinder 1: 151 PSI Cylinder 2: 148 PSI Cylinder 3: 150 PSI Cylinder 4: 151 PSI Cylinder 5: 149 PSI Cylinder 6: 151 PSI The results show excellent and very consistent compression across all six cylinders, with only a 3 PSI difference between the highest and lowest readings. Mechanically, it runs and drives well. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears. The brakes and clutch both feel good. We drove the car back home the day we bought it, and it performed well on the highway. The car is accompanied by an extensive collection of historical service records, parts invoices, engine rebuild documentation, and period photographs showing the engine during the rebuild.
