1974 Porsche 911

Cardiff Classics is pleased to present this long term California 1974 Porsche 911 Targa featuring a modified 3,364cc engine paired with a Type 915 5-speed manual transmission. The engine is equipped with 40mm Weber carburetors with rain hats, S-cams, twin-plugged heads, electronic ignition, hydraulic chain tensioners, and 2.7-liter headers. Compression is approximately 10.65:1, with output stated at approx. 230 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The transmission has been upgraded with a short shifter and a Quaife automatic torque-biasing (ATB) helical-gear limited-slip differential. Finished in its original Guards Red color, the body was repainted approximately three years ago and features 911 SC flares over the rear wheel arches. Additional updates include teardrop side-view mirrors, an electric antenna, and a replacement sound system provided by Car City Stereo in Clairmont Mesa. The suspension features sway bars from mid-1980s 3.2-liter 911s, adjustable Bilstein shocks, and adjustable rear chain plates. The car rides on 16-inch wheels measuring 7 inches wide in front and 8 inches wide at the rear, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 205/16 front and 225/16 rear.
