1969 Pontiac Firebird

This 1969 Pontiac Firebird was refinished in the Dodge shade of Viper Snakeskin Green as part of a refurbishment completed in 2009. Power is provided by a 400ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and the engine has been fitted with a Holley carburetor, Edelbrock cylinder heads, tubular exhaust headers, MSD ignition components, and an aluminum radiator with electric cooling fans. Additional equipment includes a 3.55:1 PosiTraction differential, 15″ Billet Specialties wheels with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T white-letter tires measuring 215/65 up front and 235/60 out back, Wilwood disc brakes, power steering, Front QA1 adjustable coilovers paired with QA1 Rear Shocks, a decklid spoiler, a hood-mounted tachometer, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, AutoMeter gauges, and a JVC receiver linked to an aftermarket amplifier and stereo components. Power steering is equipped, and the steering rack is finished to match the body. - The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in white vinyl joined by color-coordinated door panels. Appointments include a center console, a heater, Pontiac-logo rubber floor mats, a fire extinguisher, woodgrain trim, a Hurst shifter, and a JVC stereo receiver linked to an Alpine amplifier, a Fierce capacitor, and Kenwood subwoofers. - The hood opens on billet aluminum hinges to reveal the 400ci V8 that is equipped with Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, a Holley 770cfm four-barrel carburetor, an Optima battery, bright-finished accessories, MSD ignition components, tubular headers, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans. The Pontiac-branded valve covers are finished to match the body color. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg Warner Super T-10 four-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle housing a 3.55:1 PosiTraction differential.
