This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 Sport Coupe was sold new at Rob Burrow Chevrolet in Barrington, Illinois and is powered by a numbers-matching 396ci V8 backed by a replacement four-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in yellow over black vinyl upholstery and equipped with a Delco AM radio and a center console as well as power-assisted steering and front disc brakes. This Chevelle SS is offered on dealer consignment, the car runs and drives fantastic. The hardtop coupe was finished in Butternut Yellow (Y-Y) from the factory, and is said to have been repainted at an unknown time. Details include twin hood bulges with faux vents, dual side mirrors, bright rocker and wheel arch moldings, and crossed-flag and Super Sport badges. The original steering wheel was replaced with the Chevelle Walnut Sport Steering Wheel Kit w/ SS Emblem, Non-Tilt. All work was done by Best Of Show Coachworks in Escondido, CA A bluetooth-enabled audio system from La Jolla Audio was installed and includes: SS Stereo- Total 460 Watts and 9 speakers (each front and rear speaker has two drivers incorporated into one speaker) ● Audiocontrol Bluetooth Audio receiver (does not handle phone calls) with HD streaming capability ● Audison 4 channel amplifier with 340 watts (powers dash and rear shelf speakers). ● Focal 4” Polyglass two way coaxial speakers mounted on a custom plate under the dash speaker opening. ● Focal 6x9” Access two way rear shelf coaxial speakers. ● Replacement rear package tray with two grilles ● Noise deaden rear shelf ● Alpine self-powered 8” subwoofer with 120 watts mounted under the front seat. Black vinyl covers front bucket and rear bench seats, and lap restraints are provided for four occupants. The optional center console incorporates storage under the armrest and a clock ahead of the reverse-lockout shifter. Approximately 800 miles have been driven under current ownership, and the actual total is unknown. A Sunpro tachometer with an adjustable redline is mounted to the steering column. The trunk has been treated with a textured finish and houses a vinyl mat in addition to a full-size spare wheel. The 396ci V8 breathes through a four-barrel carburetor and wears chrome valve covers. An oil change and general inspection were performed in preparation for the sale. Engine code TI005ED indicates a 325-horsepower 396 built on October 5 at the Tonawanda, New York plant for use with a manual transmission, while serial number 7K116027 matches that stamped on the chassis tag and Protect-O-Plate that is a photo.
