1966 Chevrolet Caprice

This is a very nice 66 Caprice that has had a recent restoration, started out with a clean original panel California car, done in show quality Bolero Red, basecoat clearcoat, sanded smooth, new vinyl top, all window stainless moldings and drip rail moldings are original in excellent condition, new tinted windshield, new vent window frames; all other glass is factory original softray tint in excellent condition, original upper door and quarter stainless moldings in excellent condition, new weather stripping and window felts, new door handles, new correct bowtie side view mirrors, original hood spear in excellent condition, grill, grill moldings, headlight bezels and fender eyebrow moldings are original in exceptional condition, original front bumper has been re-chromed; as well as bumperettes, fender 396 flags and Caprice emblems look like new, original rocker and wheel well moldings in excellent condition, original decklid moldings and emblem in excellent condition, original taillights and bezels in good condition, rear bumper appears to have been re-chromed. Factory black bucket seat console interior, dash is original in excellent condition, original dash pad in excellent condition - no cracks, nicely outfitted with AM/FM stereo with IPOD capability, woodgrain trim on dash and center console has been changed to carbon fiber look, nicely outfitted with IDIDIT tilt steering column, original steering wheel has been custom leather wrapped, AC and heat has been updated with Vintage AC and heat, Vintage heat and air controls, new headliner and visors, all headliner chrome moldings are original in excellent condition, new sail panels and package shelf, front and rear door panels have been custom upholstered with leather inserts factory appearing, new arm rest and bases, rear arm rest have been custom upholstered to match, front and rear seats have been reupholstered and new foam, deluxe factory front and rear seat belts, original center console and shifter in excellent condition, new carpet, floor mats and sill plates. Trunk has also been nicely upholstered for the cool look. Under the hood we have the original #'s match 396 which has been rebuilt, approximately 7,000 miles, mild cam, factory 4 barrel intake and carb, nicely updated with electronic ignition; also has been updated with 80 amp alternator, updated with Vinatge AC and heat, nicely updated with heavy duty direct fit aluminum radiator, correct shroud and clutch fan, power steering, power front disc brakes, front suspension has been gone through updated with Hotchkis 1 inch front sway bar, this strong running 396 is backed up with its original 400 turbo trans which has also been rebuild with mild shift kit, factory exhaust manifolds into 2 1/2 inch dual Flowmaster exhaust out the back in stock location, factory 12 bolt rear end with UMI adjustable track bar and Hotchkis rear sway bar. Rides on a set of 15 inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels and BF Goodrich TA radials all around. Factory jack and spare. This "Cool" Caprice is ready to show, cruise and enjoy.
