Per the standards of the Vintage Thunderbird Club International, 300 points is a perfect score, and this 1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible achieved that nearly unattainable feat not once but twice following a painstaking, three-plus-year restoration by a previous owner and his family. VTCI wasn't the only organization to recognize this Bird's outstanding quality, as the AACA has given it several awards, including National Junior, Senior and Grand National First place awards.

The car's specifications tell part of its story: a torquey 390 CI V-8 engine, automatic transmission, Wimbledon White paint over a red leather interior, and cabin amenities that include power seats, a reclining passenger seat, power windows, air conditioning and an AM/FM radio. The T-bird has traveled just 10 miles since its restoration was completed, primarily on and off trailers and up to judging stands.
