1965 Ford Mustang

Finished in Vintage Burgundy over a black interior, this 1965 Ford Mustang K-Code Fastback received a meticulous 13-year rotisserie restoration. Originally built in San Jose for the Seattle market, it has been owned only in Washington, Arizona and now Oklahoma and is listed in the HiPo Mustang Registry, but has not been finalized so you need to submit proper photos to complete.

The body was stripped to bare metal, with the panels properly fitted and long-blocked before paint. Doors, hood, trunk, headlights and taillights all have excellent fitment. The two-stage Vintage Burgundy paint features a wet-sanded clear coat for a smooth, high-gloss finish, with approximately $15,000 spent on the paintwork alone. The undercarriage retains correct factory-style spot welds and red oxide primer. Both VINs are present on the inner aprons, with the hidden passenger-side VIN documented in the build photos.

The car retains its matching-numbers K-Code engine and transmission, with engine numbers and date codes documented. The correct 9-inch rear axle has 3.50 gears. The car is currently equipped with a new Ford Motorsport T-5 5-speed overdrive and Centerforce clutch.

The detailed HiPo engine features the factory K-Code dress-up kit, HiPo fan assembly, correct exhaust manifolds, Arvinode 2-inch exhaust with HiPo H-pipe, Holley 570 CFM carburetor, and Pertronix III ignition and coil.

The suspension was completely rebuilt with new steering components, rebuilt control arms, springs, bushings, tie rods and sway bar bushings, along with KYB shocks. Braking upgrades include a Baer dual-bowl master cylinder and drilled, slotted, zinc-coated front disc rotors with restored stock calipers.

The interior is completely new, including soft parts and trim. All wiring is new and the interior was Dynamatted front to rear.
