Powered by a robust 350 cubic inch Chevrolet small block V8 paired with a Muncie fourspeed manual transmission, this Corvette delivers the engaging driving feel and mechanical purity that enthusiasts admire in classic Sting Rays. For production work, the car was equipped with performance oriented upgrades including uprated front springs, Koni adjustable shock absorbers, and a dedicated 12 gallon fuel cell that enhanced its on track capability and presence. It wears functional racing tires and four wheel brakes that help it meet the visual and performance demands of period racing sequences.

During filming the Corvette wore two authentic period correct liveries, first a blue Washburn Chevrolet/Bob Bondurant scheme for scenes at Willow Springs and later a red Roger Penske Chevrolet racing scheme for the Daytona scenes, giving it standout screen appeal and historical character.
