1959 MG MGA Convertible

I don't know. And can't really answer. This car was dropped on our lap by a friend who thought it would be a keen idea to have an automatic transmission classic car for his wife's use.. But all I can write is what little I was told and what I can see. So, yes, it is an MGA and a highly modified one at that. Done by someone with imagination, creativity, technical skills, and a strong desire to 'hot rod' an MGA. To that end, a 4.3 liter Chevy V6, automatic transmission, twin master cylinders with power brake servo, disc brakes, huge aluminum radiator, super heavy duty rear axle, for a start. Interior nicely done, original MGA seats, all reupholstered, nice interior, all new aftermarket gauges (all work but the speedometer is far from accurate), wider/stronger wheels, wider tires, original style MGA grille and windshield, same with lights. BUT here is where the creativity went in a different direction, chrome Lakepipes on the sides, huge hood scoop, non original wheels, and (by the last owner's choice) no bumpers. Granted, a new buyer could have us finish the brackets and fit reproduction chrome MGA bumpers, I guess we can look into an exhaust mounted under the car, and as for the scoop, can be retained, lowered, or perhaps with a more compact air cleaner, the scoop can be entirely eliminated and the hood put back to the way it was back when new. Has a working stereo, runs well and offers (as easily imagined) strong performance, power disc brakes, steering feels much like original, comfortable ride, and no clutch pedal. It is one of those cars you either like or don't. Either ask 'what about a stock MGA' in our inventory, or think how rare it is to find ANY older British car with an auto trans. Either way, it is here, is for sale, and we can continue with the next owner's creativity to mold it into whatever they might want. We offer financing at competitive rates. Inquire for details
