Built in the 1980's, this beautiful Speedster looks, runs and drives like it was just completed. The build was originally commissioned by a collector who gave the car to his adult daughter upon his passing a few years ago. The car has always been lovingly cared for, always stored covered in an enclosed environment and never abused. Even with the racing appearance, this Speedster has never been a track car. Built on a 1971 VW floorpan, this car is powered by a 1971 dual-port engine, EMPI dual port intakes, twin Solex carbs and other internal performance upgrades. Power goes to the ground via 4-speed manual transmission. Tastefully constructed and carefully driven. The road-racing regalia looks fantastic on this car. However, it would be equally impressive without the placards. Please note, THE DECALS ON THIS CAR ARE VINYL AND CAN EASILY BE REMOVED IF THE BUYER CHOOSES. Fully equipped with Hartz cloth folding Speedster top, as well as matching cloth zippered tonneau. Both are in like-new condition.
